Viddy enhances e-commerce websites with shoppable video experiences by infusing elements of TikTok and Instagram to boost conversion rates and user engagement. By integrating these features, brands can create a more engaging and interactive shopping experience.

As consumer preferences shift towards consuming more short-form, vertical video content on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, SnapChat, and YouTube Shorts, e-commerce has struggled to keep up. Despite this trend, e-commerce has remained primarily reliant on static text and images for over a decade. Viddy addresses this disconnect by integrating familiar, interactive video user interfaces that are also shoppable into e-commerce, thus bridging the gap between the two and helping e-commerce brands adapt to this rapidly growing trend.

E-commerce brands and their online storefronts have encountered difficulty in adapting to the prevalent trend of video-first content, resulting in a decline in their conversion rates and user engagement year over year. This decline in conversion rate and engagement has a cascading effect, causing a decrease in revenue, customer retention, and LTV.

Viddy offers a solution by creating familiar video user interfaces (like Instagram Stories, animated carousels, and swipeable TikTok feeds), that can be seamlessly integrated into an e-commerce website. Examples of these interfaces can be viewed below:

‎Brands have the ability to include custom call-to-actions within videos, such as taking a quiz, scheduling a demonstration, or accessing a product page, among others. ‎The process is simple: upload your video assets to the Viddy CMS, include any desired call-to-actions within the videos, choose from available user interfaces such as Stories, Carousel, and Floating Player, copy the embed code and place it on your website, and you're done!

The implementation process typically takes one to two days, and all Viddy clients have reported a significant return on investment.

The Viddy team has a rich background in the e-commerce industry, having spearheaded growth and experimentation for prominent direct-to-consumer brands. They led a men's skincare brand that experienced challenges in educating men on how to use skincare products, discovering that video explanations outperformed static text. While video always performed better than static text, getting consumers to engage with YouTube or Vimeo embeds wasn't too great.

The team recognized that while video user interfaces that are on par with mobile social apps exist, they are not easily accessible to non-technical website managers - a demographic that has grown in recent years with the rise of platforms like Shopify, Webflow, and Wix. Viddy aims to address this issue by making these interfaces readily available for e-commerce websites.
