Launch YC: Stack AI: Supercharging machine learning datasets

As machine learning teams continue to grow and move their models to production, understanding and protecting their datasets becomes increasingly vital for achieving high levels of model accuracy. However, a common issue that teams often face is the constant review of poorly annotated data and the struggle to remove outliers to improve their ML models.

This is where Stack AI comes in.

Stack AI is helping machine learning teams perfect their datasets. They are building a machine learning platform that detects data anomalies, evaluates annotations at scale, and protects data with version control.

Founded by Bernardo Aceituno , Melissa McAneny, and Toni Rosinol, the Stack AI team consists of MIT PhDs with over 12 years of experience building ML models for robotic applications and previously built software for NASA, SpaceX, and Tesla. Their mission is to help computer vision and natural language processing (NLP) teams maximize the accuracy of their models, decrease the time it takes to get models to production, and minimize the risk of data disasters.

The Stack AI team encountered this problem firsthand while building computer vision models. They found that managing datasets using notebooks with pandas and matplotlib was tedious and time-consuming. It was impossible to know what data had changed, why and how the changes impacted the model, and visualize and verify those changes.

This frustration led to the creation of Stack AI, a machine-learning platform designed to detect data anomalies, evaluate annotations at scale, and protect data with version control. The platform also includes AI-powered annotations that can label datasets in seconds instead of days.

If you're building machine learning models for computer vision or natural language processing, Stack AI is the solution you've been looking for. Give Stack AI a try and see the difference it can make for your team.
