Its design addresses the issue of limited conversational opportunities in traditional digital language learning, where a disproportionate emphasis is placed on grammar and vocabulary.

Customized tutoring, however, can be costly and challenging to arrange, making it an impractical prospect for many, especially those who may feel self-conscious about their speaking abilities. The search for a more realistic solution led CEO Phillip Hadjimina, one of the founders, to start Quazel with the belief that "there must be a better way!" as Phillip experienced similar difficulties while learning Greek.

Inspired by personal experience, Quazel has since gained popularity among those who appreciate its unique approach. The app places learners in realistic virtual scenarios, providing a natural environment for practicing speaking and listening.
