Launch YC: AgentMail - API to give AI agents email inboxes that are better than Gmail

"The New Email Provider For AI Agents"

TL;DR: AgentMail is an API that gives agents their own email inbox. Think of it like Gmail, but for agents instead of humans.

Founded by Haakam Aujla, Michael Kim & Adi Singh

Why?

Because building email agents is hard enough, infrastructure shouldn’t be the bottleneck. Legacy providers like Gmail and Outlook

  • Lack API support for creating new inboxes
  • Charge monthly subscriptions per inbox
  • Impose restrictive rate and sending limits
  • Offer poor developer experience

These providers don’t scale with both inbox creation or volumes of emails sent/received that AI agents often face, so they are rebuilding email infrastructure from scratch to enable this.

Solution

AgentMail is an API-first email provider that gives agents their own inboxes to send, receive, and act upon emails. Think of it like Gmail, but with

  1. Automated, unlimited inbox creation and management
  2. Usage-based pricing scaling with emails sent/received
  3. No restrictive rate/sending limits
  4. Real-time events over webhooks and websockets
  5. Simple API key auth – no OAuth headaches
  6. Built-in API permissions and agent guardrails
  7. Semantic search across every inbox in organization
  8. Automatic labeling with user-defined prompts
  9. Structured data extraction
  10. And more on the way!
